HPL plastic panels are named due to the specific manufacturing process. HPL panels are made of layers of overlay (pattern protection) impregnated with thermosetting resins and craft paper under high temperature and pressure. The composition of the panels is 80% cellulose fibres and 20% thermosetting resins. By adding double-cured acrylic PUR to the resin, the durability of the panel is increased. Under such conditions and under the influence of the changes occurring with the resins, the structure of the basic materials changes as well. Together they form a laminate that is well protected against mechanical and chemical damage, lightweight, flexible and durable. MAXLAM does not contain heavy metals and asbestos, nor does it emit toxic fumes, gases or liquids. Thanks to this, the panels do not have a negative impact on the environment.
